I handpicked 250 records from my personal collection of over 10,000 house and disco records, sampling one unique kick from each. Every sample was recorded directly from my Technics 1200 turntable with an Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge, routed through a UBK Fatso for added warmth and character. 

Each kick was carefully edited for a clean start and natural fade, preserving the original vinyl textures—including crackle, subtle noise, and ghost transients—that give these samples their distinct analog feel.

As the son of an accomplished jazz guitarist and a pop singer, Lisene (Marlon Morris) was brought up surrounded by a wide spectrum of music from an early age. This was followed by a collaboration with his friend of over 15 years Adam Pits, with their first release as Space Cadets on Seven Hills picking up a huge amount of attention and landing them a string of gigs across both the UK and EU.
