I handpicked 250 records from my personal collection of over 10,000 house and disco records, sampling one unique kick from each. Every sample was recorded directly from my Technics 1200 turntable with an Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge, routed through a UBK Fatso for added warmth and character. 

Each kick was carefully edited for a clean start and natural fade, preserving the original vinyl textures—including crackle, subtle noise, and ghost transients—that give these samples their distinct analog feel.

Born and raised in the concrete jungle of Queens, New York, Jean Pierre has spent over twenty years living, breathing, and evolving within the electronic music scene. His story is one of relentless hustle—from crate-digging and selecting at Brooklyn’s legendary Halcyon record shop to gracing the decks at the world’s top venues.

2024 marked a major breakthrough: performances at Space Miami, Music On, Sunwaves, Unum, and Ibiza hotspots like Hï, Pacha, Amnesia, Eden, and Tantra showcased his powerful blend of house grooves, percussive minimalism, and raw techno energy, shaped by his NYC upbringing and Colombian roots.

Now based in Barcelona, Jean contnues to refine his signature sound—one that’s earned releases on labels like Cuttin’ Headz, Hot Creations, Mindshake, Rawthenic, Boogeyman, and his own Pakate Records.

Loops range from 126 to 135 BPM, with all loops tempo-labeled and all melodic loops key-labeled for easy use.

All loops are tempo-synced at 130bpm, and melodic loops and one-shot samples are conveniently labeled for ease of use.
